16 August 2007 : Commemoration Of Isra' Mi'Raj Prophet of Muhammad SAW in Auditorium started from at 08.00 till finish. 08 August 2007 : Commemoration of HUT SMAN 1 42 field of SMAN 1 Tarakan. 17 April 2007 : Ujian Nasional Kelas XII yang berlangsung dari Tanggal 17 s/d 19 April 2007 dimulai pukul 07.30 s/d 10.00. Sementara Kelas X dan Kelas XI belajar dirumah 14 April 2007 : Pengarahan Pengawasan Ujian Nasional Dilaksanakan di Aula SMAN 1 Tarakan, yang dbawakan oleh Pihak dari Dinas Pendidikan 13 April 2007 : Dalam rangka Ujian Nasional yang akan dilaksanakan hari Selasa 17 April 2007 maka kelas XII belajar di rumah sampai hari Senin 12 April 2007 : Acara Muhasabah (Dzikir Bersama) SMA Sekota Tarakan Yang diadakan Di Lapangan SMAN 1 Tarakan Ba'dah Isyah 10 April 2007 : Sosialisasi rintisan SBI (Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional) Di SMP 9 dan SMP 10 10 April 2007 : Selamat Kepada Ani Pissa Kusworo kelas XII IPA 1 atas Keberhasilannya di terima di Universitas Atmajaya Yogyakarta melalui Jalur Prestasi PMB Unggulan Jurusan Teknik Informatika 09 April 2007 : The Best Class of this month adalah XG, XIA3, XIIBahasa 07 April 2007 : Pengumuman hasil tes daya serap yang langsung di wakili oleh Orang tua siswa yang berlangsung di ruangan kelas

Extra Curriculars To accommodate the needs, talents, and interest of the students, SMAN 1 Tarakan provides some extra curricular activities in the afternoon and on Friday morning. The Extra curricular activities are grouped into 5 : 1. Leadership : Scout and the Youth Red Cross 2. Science Clubs: Mathematic Club, Physic Club, Chemistry Club, Biology Club, Computer Club, Astronomy Club, Economic Club, and Student Scientific Club. 3. Language : English Club, Japanese Club. 4. Sport : Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Badminton. 5. Arts : Choir, Theatre, Dance, Marching Band. Apart from the 5 groups of activities, the school coordinates a course called MATRIS ( Youth Islamic Activities ) every Friday afternoon at the school mosque.
